I am feeling desperate - the pain in my toes and feet is unbearable. I have had a real problem with my right food my toes have spread and clawed, with a huge lump on the soles of my feet.
Over the past two weeks the same has started happening to my right foot and now my ankle joint is swollen and there is no flexible movement at all in my feet and toes. I am having an awful time just walking. I am still in the workplace but it is really hard just to walk accros the office and I can feel my feet swelling in my shoes. I cant wait to get home and put my feet up. Even then they are throbbing.
In desperation I telephoned my rheumy nurse today, she told me that I last saw my c onsltant in August and it will be sometime before I see him again. Also she said that my last xray on my foot did not show fluid around my ankle - that was a year ago! the notes were wrong because they had the wrong foot (she did admit that there was a discrepancy in my notes).
She suggested I wait a while to see if the pain subsides and the swelling goes down. Meanwhile I am here on the settee my feet are absolutely throbbing, in fact my joints are really painful my arms are aching - I have an appointment at my GP surgery tomorrow morning to have my bloods taken hopefully I shall try to see one of the doctors when I am there - so sorry to be such a moaner tonight but feel I am getting nowhere it is so frustrating.
Thanks for listening
